Protecting Your Recordings

In order to continue to provide exceptional television service - both for our existing customers and looking to the future - we will begin culling recordings that are older than 90 days. If there are certain recordings you wish to keep, you must "Protect" them. You may protect any completed recordings (not recordings that are upcoming or in-progress) in any of the apps or your set-top box. We've put together a guide to assist, please download and refer to the information that's pertinent to your device.

I have NORTHWAVETV and some programs in the guide display a red circle with a line through it?

These programs are blacked out either because of Canadian licensing or regional licensing for that specific program. For example, Rogers Sportsnet only holds the rights to broadcast Toronto Maple Leaf games in Southwestern Ontario. For more details on Rogers Sportsnets regional agreements please visit the following website: http://www.sportsnet.ca/faq/. Again, this is not at our discretion but that of the broadcaster.
